A few news channels and media reports also claimed that Babar is trying to contact PCB head Zaka Ashraf who is not responding to his calls and messages. However, the PCB chief addressed the nation on live TV and ended all such speculations.

He said on live TV, “He never called me. The captain usually talks to the chief operating officer or the director of international cricket.” It didn’t end here; to make his statement true, the PCB chief went on to show the WhatsApp chat between PCB’s Chief Operating Officer, Salman Naseer, and Babar to make it clear that all the rumors were false.

Later, the chat was leaked by Pakistan’s renowned news channel, ARY News, which sparked more controversy. Former Pakistani bowler Waqar Younis has come up now and shown his anger. He took to Twitter and said that everyone should leave Babar alone. After this, a number of fans also came up in support of the Pakistani captain. The performance of Pakistan in the 2023 World Cup is going down, and so many controversies are also not helping the team out.
