In the first match, Mumbai Indians recorded another victory over Royal Challengers Bangalore thanks to an all-round performance by Amelia Kerr. Electing to field, the Mumbai bowlers maintained their discipline as none of the Royal Challengers batters could reach 30. 29 from Ellyse Perry and Richa Ghosh remained the highest scores as the captain Smriti Mandhana contributed 24. Kerr was the pick of the bowler with 3 for 22 where as Issy Wong and Nat Sciver-Brunt both picked up two wickets.

The Mumbai chase started well as Hayley Matthews and Yastika Bhatia added 53 runs in the Powerplay. However, Royal Challengers made a strong comeback as they picked 4 wickets in a space of 20 runs. However, Kerr again held the fort with her bat and her unbeaten 31 took Mumbai Indians to a comfortable 4-wicket victory.

There were many similarities in the second match between Delhi Capitals Women and UP Warriorz Women. Alice Capsey delivered an all-round show to take the Capitals to a win. She led the bowling with 3 for 26 as the Warriorz scored 138/6 in their 20 overs. The Australian all-rounder Tahlia McGrath scored her fourth fifty of the tournament as she remained unbeaten on 58. The captain Alyssa Healy contributed 36 but that was all.

The Capitals chase also started well as the captain Meg Lanning and Shafali Verma added 56 runs in just 4.5 overs. Lanning again top-scored for them with 39. Capsey contributed with the bat also as she scored 34. Marizanne Kapp anchored the chase with an unbeaten 34 to take her team to a 5-wicket victory.
