Watch: Virat Kohli hints at a his comeback through latest Social media post amid his unavailability rumors
There has been a lot of talk about the absence of Virat Kohli. The former Indian captain left the team before the start of the first two tests. Some media reports confirmed that he is likely to join the team before the third test on February 15 in Rajkot. However, there is still no update about his return, as the Indian selection committee is likely to announce the schedule for the remaining three games.
India suffered an embarrassing defeat in the first test in Hyderabad by 28 runs. That defeat came after India took a massive 190-run lead in the first inning. They were all dominating the visitors for the first two days. But in the end, it was totally opposite to what everyone thought. The second game is also about to start.
Virat Kohli shares a promotional video amid his unavailability rumors
The second test match will begin on February 2 at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam. India will be without a couple of key players, like Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul. Both superstars have been ruled out due to injuries. Meanwhile, news is circulating on social media that Virat Kohli might not be able to feature in the remaining games.
The BCCI has yet to receive any updates from the former Indian captain ahead of his availability for the remainder of the series. However, amid all this speculation, Virat has shared a video on his Instagram handle. Although this is a promotional post, it does indicate that things are getting on track in Virat’s life.
Notably, the last post shared on Virat’s social handle was on January 21, when he left the Indian camp after reaching Hyderbad for the first test. After ten days, Virat shared a post on his Instagram handle. It indicates that Virat is good to go and is likely to return to the third test. However, there was some news as well that his mother was ill or hospitalised.
But his brother ended all such reports with one of his statements on social media. Indian fans can only hope that the 35-year-old can return to the team because the current batting lineup looks vulnerable against the English bowlers.
