The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are currently at the bottom of the points table in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. They’ve lost five out of six games played so far. With such a poor start, they’re in danger of exiting the competition early if they don’t turn things around.

Their next match is against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. SRH, currently fifth on the table with six points, has performed well this season.

IPL 2024: Top five player battles to watch out for in RCB vs SRH

1.Virat Kohli vs Bhuvneshwar Kumar:

Two key players, Virat Kohli and Bhuvneshwar Kumar, will face off. They have a history of playing against each other. Kohli has scored 109 runs off 81 balls against Kumar, who has dismissed him four times.

2.Faf du Plessis vs Pat Cummins:

It’s the first match this season featuring two overseas captains. Pat Cummins has a good record against du Plessis, having dismissed him nine times in international cricket. In IPL Cummins has gotten him once, while du Plessis has scored 64 runs off 38 balls against him.

3.Travis Head vs Mohammed Siraj:

SRH’s Travis Head is a key player for them, and RCB will rely on Mohammed Siraj to contain him. Siraj has dismissed Head four times in international cricket, but this will be their first encounter in the IPL 2024.

4.Abhishek Sharma vs Vijaykumar Vyshak:

Abhishek Sharma has been in good form for SRH, but RCB’s Vijaykumar Vyshak, who had a decent game against MI, will look to contain him. Vyshak was RCB’s most economical bowler in the last match.

5.Heinrich Klaasen vs Reece Topley:

Heinrich Klaasen, who scored a century in the previous encounter against RCB, will be a key player for SRH. RCB may turn to Reece Topley to dismiss him early, as Topley has bowled smartly this season.
