Mohammed Shami became the most recent Indian male cricketer to win the Arjuna Award on January 9, 2024. This award is one of the biggest honors that an athlete can get in India for a brilliant performance in the respective sport. The Arjuna Award is the second-highest award in India, after the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award. It was first awarded back in 1961.
