IND vs SL 2nd T20I Betting Tips & Prediction
Both India and Sri Lanka had key players missing in the first T20I, but all it did was highlight the gap in quality of depth between the teams.
The result was almost a foregone conclusion as Ishan Kishan and Rohit Sharma struck the ball to all parts before Shreyas Iyer’s assault to propel India to 199/2. Such a score was impressive and far too much for Sri Lanka on a low pitch, who crawled to 137/6.
The action now moves to Dharamasala as the home side looks to seal the series. The weather is a concern with rain forecast, but Rohit Sharma’s team will back themselves for a big batting performance once again even if it is a shortened match.

Here are our expert betting tips and guide. Do check our daily updates here.
Top contenders for leading run-scorer
India:
- Ishan Kishan was in sublime form in the first T20I. The hard-hitting left hander comes into this match on the back of a 56-ball 89.
- Rohit Sharma also looked good in the first T20I (44). Incredibly, Rohit has just the one 50+ score in 16 T20Is vs Sri Lanka, but he is capable of adding to that today as he has smashed a century and half-century in three T20s at Dharamasala.
- Shreyas Iyer has struck 25 (16) and 57* (28) in his last two knocks at number three. The Kolkata Knight Riders recruit has looked in very good touch, and is a strong contender for top run-scorer for India today.
Sri Lanka:
- Pathum Nissanka scored the most runs of any player in the recent Australia-Sri Lanka series (187), and fell to a delivery that stayed low in the first T20I. He remains key for Sri Lanka.
- Charith Asalanka top-scored for Sri Lanka in the first match (53*) after a disappointing tour of Australia where he averaged just 12.80. Asalanka now has scores of 44 (26) and 53* (47) against India.
Top contenders for leading wicket-taker
India:
- Yuzvendra Chahal has 16 wickets in just eight matches against Sri Lanka. He bowled nicely in the first T20I, taking 1/11 off two overs.
- Bhuvneshwar Kumar could be a factor in damp, cool conditions in Dharamasala. If there is movement available, Bhuvneshwar can exploit it as he did in the first T20I (2/9).
- Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel both bowled just two overs each in the first match, but they remain key contenders with their ability to bowl at the death.
Sri Lanka:
- Dushmantha Chameera went wicketless and was expensive in the first match. He still has a good overall record against India: 13 T20Is, 14 wickets, avg. 26.35, econ. 7.71.
- Dasun Shanaka has taken 10 wickets in nine T20I innings against India, including 1/19 in the first match.
- Lahiru Kumara was Sri Lanka’s other wicket-taker in the first match. He is capable of picking wickets in the death overs.
