The  Sunrisers Hyderabad will have a new face at the helm once the IPL 2023 auction concludes after Kane Williamson’s departure. The decision to release the Kiwi cricketer came as a shock with the franchisee looking for some fresh ideas.

The release of Williamson meant the Hyderabad team has enough money to buy some big stars during the  IPL 2023 auction. The 2016 champions recently admitted to breaking the bank in order to rope in Ben Stokes or Cameron Green with both stars available during the auction. Ahead of the mini-auction, we take a look at the purse left with the team along with the list of candidates they would be having their eyes on.

Hyderabad lacks seam bowling all-rounders in their team and so, they can target Holder who has been a consistent performer for them in the past. The 31-year-old has bagged 31 wickets in 16 games for SRH and also smashed 167 runs at a decent strike rate. Thus, Hyderabad could break their bank to sign the West Indies all-rounder at the auction.

SRH will Bag these Top Players

The focus for Hyderabad should probably be on getting both Ben Stokes and Cameron Green. If not Green, then they might go hard for Curran. They have a lot of money but they will need to spend it wisely, or else there’s no point. The 2016 IPL champions will enter the auction with the highest purse amount of 42.25 Crore.

Notably, SRH still has 13 slots to fill out of which four slots are likely to go for the overseas names. They will have the luxury to go for world-class all-rounders like Ben Stokes, Sam Curran or Cameron Green who can contribute in all three departments and add a lot of value to the side.
