Stats in Domestic Cricket

The 34-year-old played 72 First Class matches, 56 List A games, and 79 T20 matches from 2008 to 2021. He made his debut for Railways in 2008 and later played for Baroda and Sikkim as well. The pacer showed some tremendous performances including 249 First Class wickets, 85 List A scalps, and 64 wickets in T20 cricket. His last domestic game came in 2021 for Sikkim against Uttarakhand.

IPL Heroics

Anureet played an important role on many occasions in the esteemed Indian Premier League. He has played for Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals, and Kolkata Knight Riders, playing 18 matches and also picking up 18 wickets. His best came against Rajasthan Royals while featuring for Punjab Kings in 2015, where he picked up 3 wickets for 23 runs.

In his Instagram post, he Anureet thanked BCCI, Western Railway, Northern Railway, Indian Railways, Baroda Cricket Association, Sikkim Cricket Association, along with IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals, Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings), and Kolkata Knight Riders including management, support staff for providing the opportunity.

The right-arm pacer also thanked his captain and mentor, Sanjay Bangar, and coaches Radhe Shyam Sharma, Devinder Bisht, and Rajan Sachdeva for mentoring him. They all played a vital role in not only his cricketing career but also in his personal life.

Always wanted to be a cricketer

Anureet Singh believes he is lucky that he could play cricket for a long time as he always wanted to be a cricketer. He joined Subhania Cricket Club in Delhi when he was just 16.
