IRE VS IND: VVS Laxman will fill in for Rahul Dravid as India’s head coach for the T20I series against Ireland in late June. Dravid will be in England assisting the team’s preparation for the postponed fifth Test from last year’s tour. He will also be part of the limited-overs series. The Indian team will play 3 ODIs and as many T20Is. Read Mobile Bet365 reviews here and know about how online betting works through this app.
Dravid will be part of India’s Test squad, which will play a four-day match in Leicester from June 24-27. He will then head to Birmingham for the July 1-5 Test against England. The T20Is against Ireland are scheduled to be played alongside the warm-up match on June 26th and June 28th.

After India’s five-match T20I series against South Africa concludes on June 19 in Bengaluru, Dravid will fly to the UK. There would be a clash between India’s T20 warm-up games in England – against Northamptonshire and Derbyshire – and the Edgbaston Test. So Laxman might be with the team during those games as well.
IRE VS IND: VVS Laxman Was Part Of India’s U-19 WC Win Coaching Staff
Laxman is presently the director of cricket at the NCA in Bengaluru. A job he has held since Dravid’s promotion to head coach of the national team last year. He formerly worked as a batting consultant for Bengal in the Indian domestic circuit. VVS also worked as a coach for SRH in the IPL. He was part of India’s U 19 WC coaching team in the Caribbean earlier this year.
On May 22, India’s selectors are expected to name separate squads for the two tours. Dravid oversaw the limited-overs leg in Sri Lanka with Shikhar Dhawan as captain. While Ravi Shastri coached the Virat Kohli-led Test team in England for the World Test Championship final.
On June 15, India’s Test players are expected to depart for England. After a Covid-19 outbreak in the Indian camp last year, the Birmingham Test was rescheduled. India, who lead the series 2-1, will attempt to win their first Test series in England since 2007. Dravid captained the team to victory in that series which India won by 0-1.
