IPL 2022 LIVE: 5 Indian Players With Most Hundreds in T20 Cricket
IPL 2022 LIVE: T20 cricket is almost a couple of decades old now. It is the newest and shortest format of cricket. Cricket has evolved over the years. It started with Test cricket, its traditional format, and a century later added a limited-overs format in the form of ODIs. Cricket was traditionally played over the course of five days. When ODIs started, it bifurcated into unlimited, limited-overs cricket. The approaches were different for different formats. However, no one had imagined any shorter version of the game. But when T20 cricket happened, it took the world by surprise. It consisted of only T20 overs in each innings. Players at the start failed to match the rhythm of the game and often approached the game with similar intent needed in the ODIs. However, there were some players who proved to be pioneers and started to maximize the 20 overs.

Centuries were a rare event in the T20s as there are only 120 balls to play in an innings. However, with the advent of the T20 World Cup and leagues like the IPL and BBL, batsmen started to utilize 120 balls to great effect and centuries soon became common in this format.

Raina was the mainstay of the Chennai Super Kings and was pivotal in their four title wins. He was also instrumental in CSK’s two title wins in the Champions League T20.
Raina was the first Indian to hit a century in a T20I. He brought his feat in the 2010 T20 WC. Raina has 4 T20 centuries to his name, one each in the T20I, IPL, Champions League T20, and Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy. Raina was the first Indian to hit centuries across three formats.
