Pakistan have named a 20 member squad for the two-match test series against Bangladesh. The Test series will commence on November 26. The second Test will be played from December 4. Before the Test series, the teams will clash in a three-match T20I series, starting November 17.

While many expected PCB to rest their key players, the board instead have gone in with a full-strength squad. The likes of Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Fawad Alam, Azhar Ali, Shaheen Afridi, Hasan Ali, Mohammad Abbas, all have been named in the squad. Also, opener Imam ul Haq has been drafted back into the team. The squad also features two uncapped players – Abdullah Shafique and Kamran Ghulam. Check our latest T20 Blast headlines here.

Pakistan have been in good form of late in limited-overs cricket but have not played a lot of Test cricket recently. They last played against West Indies in August in a two-match series that ended in a 1-1 draw. Bangladesh have evolved themselves as a formidable team at home and Pakistan need to be at the top of their game to beat them.

Pakistan’s squad for Bangladesh Test series: Babar Azam (c), Abdullah Shafique, Abid Ali, Azhar Ali, Fawad Alam, Imam-ul-Haq, Kamran Ghulam, Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Sarfaraz Ahmed (wk), Mohammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf, Bilal Asif, Hasan Ali, Mohammad Abbas, Naseem Shah, Nauman Ali, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Zahid Mahmood.
