Established in 1916, Chepauk is the second oldest cricket stadium in the country and there is no shortage of history. This is the home to IPL side Chennai Super Kings (CSK) as the Yellow Army is set to play their home matches in front of the home crowd after a long gap of four years. Moreover, the renovated stadium has a seating capacity of 50,000 people. Being CSK’s home ground, Chepauk will host seven league games. It will take place before staging for two playoff games. Chennai last hosted an IPL Playoff game in 2019. In that game, Mumbai Indians beat Chennai Super Kings in Qualifier 1. CSK eventually won the trophy by beating the same opposition. CSK fans would be hoping that their team qualifies and plays in their fortress.
