“I think Virat Kohli plays that shot [cover drive] better,” says Rashid Khan
“I think Virat Kohli plays that shot [cover drive] better than anyone in the world. His cover drive looks good and sounds good. Yes, definitely, Babar is very close [second]. It is tough competition between Babar and Virat and also Kane Williamson,” Rashid Khan said. The spinner is currently representing Gujarat Titans in the IPL. The team will play their second consecutive qualifier, this time against Chennai Super Kings.
Rashid Khan has played a crucial role in the defending champions’ journey to semi-finals this year too. Interestingly, Khan in addition to showcasing his bowling skills, also delivered one of his best T20s knocks in the game against Mumbai Indians. Rashid Khan came out to bat after their batting line-up had collapsed. While Gujarat couldn’t win that game, the spinner smashed Mumbai bowlers across the ground scoring 79 runs in just 32 balls with 10 sixes and just 3 fours. The player is currently on the second spot in the purple cap holder list, just below his teammate Mohammad Shami.

After the RCB vs GT game, Rashid Khan also applauded both Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill for their respective centuries. “I am so lucky to witness two brilliant hundreds today. Virat bhai and Shubman, the way they both played, was unbelievable. Shubman has been working very hard. He has the belief that he can convert his 50s and 60s into 100 so he has been a very consistent player for us since last year. Played a brilliant innings and I am happy for him,” Khan said.
