Ravi Shastri predicted his India’s Playing XI against Australia and kept K.S. Bharat ahead of Ishan Kishan as the middle-order Wicketkeeper batsman for India. Ravi Shastri’s Best Playing XI are – Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Ravindra Jadeja, KS Bharat (wk), Ravichandran Ashwin, Shardul Thakur, Mohammad Siraj and Mohammed Shami.

Ravi Shastri on India’s dilemma between Ishan Kishan and KS Bharat

Ravi Shastri believes if the Indian team will play with two spinners they would need KS Bharat to play in the game. He supported his statement by saying that the Indian team gave a good chance to KS Bharat to play against Australia in the recently held Border Gavaskar trophy. India won the series against Australia by 2-1 as one match ended as a tie.

“See, that’s another tight one (decision). Now, if two spinners are playing, then you would want Bharat to play. You have to see who’s a better keeper. Is it Bharat or Ishan Kishan? Now, the fact that Bharat was given a run against Australia, where he played all the Test matches, I think he would be the obvious choice to go with,” said Ravi Shastri on the ICC Review ahead of India’s final game against Australia in the World Test Championship.

Ravi Shastri also supported Ishan Kishan and said there is not a choice between who is better but what the team desires according to the type and count of bowlers the team plays.

“There’s not much there. It’s not that one guy is far better than the other. Batting will also come into play, whether you want Ishan Kishan’s batting to shore up the middle order. That’s another thing you’ll take into perspective. Are you going to go with four fast bowlers? Then there’s not much spin and you just need someone decent behind the stumps to do the job,” said Ravi Shastri on the ICC Review ahead of India’s final game against Australia in the World Test Championship.
