ICC T20 World Cup schedule revealed
Australia and South Africa will kick off the Super 12s round of the T20 World Cup on October 23 in Dubai while India and Pakistan will cross swords in Group 2 encounter on October 24, the ICC announced on Tuesday as the schedule for the T20 World Cup was revealed. The tournament kicks off with a qualifying round where eight teams, divided into two groups, will aim to join the eight main teams in Super 12s. The Round 1 will kick off with Oman hosting Papua New Guinea on October 17 in a Group B game, which will be followed by a match between Scotland and Bangladesh.
Group A teams – Ireland, Netherlands, Sri Lanka and Namibia will play their first games in Abu Dhabi on October 18. The qualifying round will go on till October 22 and the top two teams from each group will qualify for Super 12s. England and West Indies play their first game on October 23 in Dubai. The Group stages will finish on November 8, with a game between India and the second-placed Round 1 qualifier.

The first and second semi-finals will be played on November 10 and 11 respectively while the tournament will conclude on November 14, Sunday. All three knockout games will have a reserve day. The day matches of the tournament will start at 3:30 PM IST while the day-night games will kick off at 7:30 PM IST
