Punjab Kings’ stand-in skipper Sam Curran called in his key pacer Kagiso Rabada to bowl the 15th over of LSG innings as the two batters were looking to accelerate the run rate. Furthermore, Rabada bowled a short delivery and cramped Krunal Pandya for the room as he tried pulling it toward the deep mid-wicket boundary.

Shahrukh Khan was fielding at the deep mid-wicket boundary and waited for the ball to come in his direction. He moved sideways and grabbed the ball but the momentum took him towards the advertisement skirtings and hence he lobbed the ball back into the air.

Shahrukh Khan quickly settled himself and came back inside the field of play and took the rebound catch. As Shahrukh was quite close to the boundary rope, the on-field umpire signaled the TV umpire to check whether his foot made any contact with the rope and it was found to be a clean catch.

The giant screen displayed ‘OUT’ as Krunal Pandya departed after scoring 18 runs off 17 deliveries. Consequently, the LSG innings couldn’t get the momentum back after Pandya’s dismissal as no other batter apart from KL Rahul could get a big score in the PBKS vs LSG game.
