RCB vs LSG: Harshal Patel misses Mankad’s run-out, makes another attempt
Harshal Patel came in to bowl the final over of Lucknow Super Giants’ innings as they needed 5 runs with 3 wickets in hand. In the first 5 deliveries, LSG only made 4 runs and they lost the wickets of Mark Wood and Jaydev Unadkat.
Lucknow Super Giants now needed just 1 run off the last over with 1 wicket in hand. While Avesh Khan was ready to face Harshal Patel at the striker’s end, Ravi Bishnoi took off his helmet at the non-striker’s end so that he could run as fast as possible on the last delivery.

Harshal Patel came steaming in but saw Ravi Bishnoi already out of the non-striker’s crease and attempted to whip out the bails but his momentum took him ahead and he couldn’t take the bails off. The RCB pacer missed the Mankad run-out attempt but didn’t give up and made a second run-out attempt.
Harshal Patel then paused himself and aimed at the stumps while Ravi Bishnoi dived to get back into the crease. This time Harshal Patel was on the target. Moreover, the giant screen showed Ravi Bishnoi shooting off his crease.
RCB thought they have gotten rid of Ravi Bishnoi. However, umpires made sure that the run-out won’t count as per the laws as he had clearly crossed the delivery release point. Harshal Patel’s Mankad run-out attempt grabbed all sorts of attention after which the LSG batting pair ran a bye on the last delivery to clinch the victory.
