Coming into bat at number three, Cameron Green counterattacked the SRH bowlers who had their tails up after getting MI opener Ishan Kishan early. The all-rounder smashed the first two balls he faced for boundaries and targeted SRH pacer Kartik Tyagi’s final over of the powerplay to hit a maximum and a couple of fours, powering MI to 60-1 at the end of the powerplay overs.

The Mumbai Indians’ all-rounder reached his fifty in just 20 deliveries and then continued to attack the SRH bowlers. He smashed a six over long-on to bring up the half-century which was also one of the highlights of the fine knock from the mighty all-rounder.

When Mumbai Indians needed 8 runs in 18 balls, Suryakumar Yadav took a single to bring Cameron Green, who was on 94 back on strike. The MI all-rounder then hit a boundary and moved to 98. With his team needing just 3 runs, Green took a single but Suryakumar Yadav once again rotated the strike so that his partner could reach the 100-run mark.

Green shared a crucial 128-run partnership with his captain Rohit Sharma for the second wicket and a 53-run partnership with Suryakumar Yadav. His brutal knock allowed his team to chase down the mammoth target of 201 runs in just 18 overs keeping their hopes alive for the IPL 2023 playoffs.
