Punjab Kings’ all-rounder Sam Curran started the bowling attack for them along with Kagiso Rabada on a batting friendly wicket in Dharamshala. Both the pacers started off well and restricted the DC openers for initial two overs, but then Prithvi Shaw and David Warner changed their gears and started smashing the bowlers for boundaries.

David Warner and Prithvi Shaw smashed an impressive opening partnership of 94 runs to provide a strong start to their team. The bowlers of PBKS were struggling against the onslaught of Delhi players with only Sam Curran taking two crucial wickets for the team.

Punjab Kings’ skipper Shikhar Dhawan brought changes in bowling as he introduced Arshdeep Singh and Rahul Chahar into the attack. However, David Warner and Prithvi Shaw were in no mood to stop playing aggressive shots against any bowler.

In the 11th over of Delhi Capitals’ innings Sam Curran finally brought the breakthrough for the PBKS side as he dismissed Warner at a score of 46 runs. But, then came the explosive Rilee Rossouw who made his intentions pretty clear as he stroked two boundaries on his first three deliveries.

Prithvi Shaw reached the 50-run mark in just 36 deliveries. He was then dismissed by Sam Curran in the 15th over after he had scored 54 runs off 38 deliveries including 7 boundaries and a maximum. Rilee Rossouw looked even more destructive in the DC vs PBKS game as he completed his 50 off just 25 deliveries. The DC batter kept the pressure on all the bowlers while on the other end Phil Salt also started to dominate the PBKS bowling attack.
