After the RR vs PBKS game, Prabhsimran Singh spoke to his teammate Jitesh Sharma and discussed about Shikar Dhawan’s willingness to take the strike against Trent Boult. The video was uploaded to the official website of the IPL.
“Shikhar paaji asked me that since I haven’t played Trent Boult before then he is ready to take the strike. But I told him that I will take the strike. He backed me in every situation and in between the overs, he told me to play and express myself and he will be taking care of the rest,” Prabhsimran said.

The aggressive opener was first picked by Punjab Kings in the IPL 2019 auction. In the last four seasons, he got only six opportunities for the PBKS franchise in which he had scored 64 runs.
