Shivam Mavi speaks on playing under Hardik Pandya

“I played with Hardik Bhaiya for India and he supported me a lot during my debut. He didn’t let me feel any pressure. Obviously when you play your first match there’s a lot of pressure on you but he told me to bowl without worrying,” Mavi.

Shivam Mavi recently made his debut for Team India in the T20I series against Sri Lanka earlier this year in January. He has grabbed 7 wickets in a short career of 6 games with an economy rate of 8.79.

Earlier, he was a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise where he had got decent success. Shivam Mavi has so far featured in 32 IPL games and has claimed 30 wickets with an economy rate of 8.71.

Mavi first burst onto the scene during the 2018 U-19 World Cup. He, along with Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Ishan Porel rattled most of the batting lineups with their aggressive seam bowling. Gujarat Titans’ opener Shubman Gill was the vice-captain of that side. Gujarat Titans have a decent pace bowling lineup that includes International stars like Mohammad Shami and Alzarri Joseph. Shivam Mavi will certainly look to grab a spot in their playing XI and perform as well as he has done in the domestic circuit.
