IPL 2023: The former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) leg-spinner Imran Tahir had an interesting take on the team’s future. Tahir believes MS Dhoni has a big role in the team’s performance in the ongoing 16th edition of the IPL. 

The CSK squad has been another camp with major player injuries. With Ben Stokes nowhere in play for the team, the team’s skipper has found his alternatives instead of lamenting about the team’s loss. Shivam Dube, Ajinkya Rahane, and Tushar Deshpande have given stellar performances in multiple games for CSK. Moreover, MS Dhoni has kept the team’s morale high as they are one of the major franchises to qualify for the Playoffs. 

Imran Tahir on MS Dhoni Shaping up the Future of CSK 

The Former South African Leg-Spinner Imran Tahir had an exclusive chat with Star Sports. He spoke about CSK’s future. Having been a vital part of the team in the past, Imran believes MS Dhoni is fostering young talents.

Imran Tahir believes MS Dhoni is an approachable person to solve your queries. Be it in the hotel or dressing room, he is there to help you. 

“CSK is going through a transition phase. MS Dhoni is preparing CSK for the future, he’s nurturing young talents like Shivam Dube, Akash Singh, Tushar Deshpande, etc. for Indian cricket. The best thing about Dhoni is that he’s very approachable in the dressing room and at the hotel, and that is the reason why players flourish at CSK”, said Imran Tahir on Star Sports.

Imran Tahir also talked about the team’s clash with Lucknow Super Giants in Lucknow and the advantages LSG might have on their home ground. 

“The Lucknow team is different at home and away from home. It becomes very strong in the house as the conditions suit it. Lucknow will have to take advantage of home matches as they have to play their next match at home against CSK, which is a tough team” said Imran Tahir on Star Sports.
