IPL 2023: Cameraman Captures Venkatesh Iyer Attuning with Dhoni Chants in the Stadium

IPL 2023: During the clash of Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings on 23rd April 2023, the stadium echoed with the chants of the name of MS Dhoni during the final over the first innings. The cameraman spotted Venkatesh Iyer attuning to cheers supporting MS Dhoni.

Chennai Super Kings played a magnificent inning and gave Kolkata Knight Riders a target of 236 runs to chase at their home ground Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Despite being the home ground of KKR, the stadium was filled with yellow jerseys and flags supporting Chennai Super Kings and majorly for the former Indian Captain MS Dhoni.

During the final over of the first innings of KKR vs CSK, MS Dhoni took the strike. The legendary Indian batsman could only manage to score two runs off three deliveries, but the support of the spectators sitting in the stadium was immense.

Kolkata Knight Rider’s Star Batsman vibed to the chants of the fans. The audience continuously chanted ‘Dhoni Dhoni’ in the crowd. The cameraman spotted Venkatesh Iyer as he was enjoying cheering for the opposition’s Team Captain. It seems like the 28-Year-Old is also a huge fan of MS Dhoni and his fanboying doesn’t affect what team Dhoni plays from.

Venkatesh Iyer tried to move away from the excitement on his face as soon as he realized the cameraman is focusing on him. Even though he tried to shy away from the camera, the fans noticed his excitement but nobody is blaming him as every Indian cricketer is and has been a fan of MS Dhoni along with the fans.

Chennai Super Kings win over Kolkata Knight Riders

Chennai Super Kings sealed an effortless victory against Kolkata Knight Riders in the 33rd Match of the TATA IPL 2023. KKR miserably failed to chase the humongous target of 236 set by the CSK Batsman on their home ground.

Shivam Dube and Ajinkya Rahane’s remarkable partnership of 85 runs off 32 balls helped CSK build a strong target. Rahane was awarded the Player of the Match for his noteworthy play of 71 runs made from 29 deliveries.
