Anuj Rawat was in the headlines for all sorts of wrong reasons as he couldn’t create any impact as a batter. He replaced Mahipal Lomror in the playing XI as Royal Challengers Bangalore brought him as the Impact Player after losing wickets in quick succession.

However, Anuj Rawat could only score 15 runs despite playing 22 deliveries and didn’t help his team’s cause. The young batter was heavily criticized for his slow batting as Wanindu Hasaranga and Wayne Parnell didn’t get a chance to bat and RCB was clearly looking for a better knock from him.

While Anuj Rawat failed to impress as a batter, he made sure to contribute for Royal Challengers Bangalore with his fielding. Delhi Capitals sent in Prithvi Shaw as their impact player replacing Mustafizur Rahman but Shaw looked pretty tentative between the wickets right from the word go.

On the second delivery of Delhi Capitals’ innings, David Warner looked for a couple while Prithvi Shaw denied the second run leaving his skipper pretty annoyed. On the fourth delivery of the same over, Prithvi Shaw looked for a quick single which proved to be costly for him.

Mohammed Siraj bowled a good length delivery as impact player Prithvi Shaw stayed on the back foot and pushed it toward cover and quickly called for a single. RCB’s impact player Anuj Rawat dived across his right, made a one-handed stop and in no time hit the bull’s eye while the DC batter was not even in the frame.

Impact player Prithvi Shaw couldn’t create any impact with his bat as he departed for a duck leaving the Delhi Capitals’ team in a spot of bother. The David Warner-led side kept on losing wickets after losing their opener in the first over of the RCB vs DC game.
