The PBKS batting duo of Sam Curran and Shahrukh Khan made a formidable partnership for the 6th wicket. They took on Yuzvendra Chahal in the 19th over of the innings as they were aiming a big total on the batting friendly wicket at the HPCA stadium in Dharamshala.

The assualt began with Shahrukh smashing Chahal for a four and a maximum off consecutive deliveries, pulling a half-tracker towards the midwicket fence for a four before targetting the same fence with a slog-sweep the next ball, this time clearing it for a maximum.

Chahal then bowled a wide the next ball before Shahrukh got off strike with a single. PBKS all-rounder Sam Curran was even more ruthless in the remainder of the over, smashing consecutive sixes. He muscled the first one down the ground and the second six came off a slog sweep that cleared the mid-wicket boundary.

The leg-spinner bowled a pretty good last delivery as Sam Curran flicked the ball straight to substitute fielder Donovan Ferreira at deep square leg. Ferreira made a mess of the chance as he allowed the ball to roll away to the boundary for a four as Punjab Kings scored 28 runs off the penultimate over making it the most expensive IPL over for Chahal.

Shahrukh Khan then attacked Trent Boult in the final over of the RR innings smashing him for 18 runs. Trent Boult finished with the figures of 1 for 35 in his four over spell as Punjab Kings collected 46 runs in their last two overs to post a competitive total of 187/5 on the board in the RR vs PBKS contest.
