RCB ended at 179/8 and lost the game. After the loss, Virat accepted that they made errors on the field which cost them the match. Virat said in the post-match presentation,

“To be honest we handed them the game. We did deserve to lose. We handed them a victory. We were certainly not up to standard. If you look at the game, we didn’t capitalize our chances. We dropped a few chances which cost us 25-30 runs. We ended up hitting the fielder to balls which weren’t wicket-taking. “

It was the fourth defeat for Bangalore in the competition. They are currently at 5th on the points table but the NRR is an issue. RCB will now play five consecutive away games before coming back to Bangalore to play their last group match on May 21. Bangalore will lock horns with Lucknow Super Giants on May 1 at Ekana Stadium.
