During the second innings, RCB captain Virat Kohli and his team maintained a slow over-rate in the match. BCCI Officials released the Statement on Monday Evening via a press release.

Royal Challengers Bangalore, who had named Mr Virat Kohli as their Captain for their game against Rajasthan Royals, has been fined after his team maintained a slow over-rate during their TATA IPL match against Rajasthan Royals at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on April 23, 2023. As it was his team’s second offence of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, Mr Kohli has been fined Rs. 24 lacks and each member of the Playing XI, including the impact substitute, is fined₹6 lakh or 25 per cent of the match fee, whichever is lesser.”

RR invited RCB to bat first on their home ground in Bengaluru. Unfortunately, RCB lost their captain and the legendary batsman Virat Kohli on the first ball by Trent Boult. Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell built a gigantic partnership and scored 62 and 77 off 39 and 44 deliveries respectively.

RCB gave RR the target of 189 to chase in the second innings. RR failed to chase the target and fell short by 7 runs. RCB sealed an incredible victory and gained two valuable points on the points table. Glenn Maxwell received the Player of the Match for his stellar performance in the game.
