Yadav got an opportunity to play in the series against Australia after Shreyas Iyer was ruled out after a recurrence of his back injury. The aggressive missed out on the opportunity in his home ground making things even tougher for himself.

Team India is currently looking to find a balanced combination ahead of the 2023 ODI World Cup. Suryakumar Yadav, who has performed exceedingly well in the shortest format of the game, will have to quickly find ways to perform in the ODI format as well if he wants to book a slot in 2023 World Cup squad.
