Yashasvi Jaiswal made his intentions pretty clear right from the word go as he struck Cameron Green for a mighty six just in the first over. The Rajasthan Royals’ batter then smashed Jofra Archer for a six and set the tone for his side against Mumbai Indians.

The aggressive opener knew the importance of powerplay overs on a high-scoring Wankhede wicket. He took on Riley Meredith in the 5th over of RR innings and hit four boundaries to get 16 runs from the over to make it a huge power play for his team.

By the end of the 6th over, Rajasthan Royals were placed at a score of 65-0. While experienced Jos Buttler was playing the role of an anchor, Jaiswal kept playing his shots both against pacers and spinners and never let the run rate reduce in the RR vs MI clash.

Yashasvi Jaiswal reached the fifty mark in just 32 deliveries while the wickets kept trembling from the other end. In the 13th over, the young batter attacked experienced leg-spinner Piyush Chawla and got a four and a six off consecutive deliveries.

The RR opener also equaled Jos Buttler’s record for the highest score by a Rajasthan Royals batter. Courtesy of his stellar knock, the Sanju Samson-led side posted a huge total of 212-7 on a batting-friendly Wankhede wicket in the RR vs MI game.
