“That’s a tough one. Underrated player. In recent past, I would Mayank Agarwal as an underrated player. From a bowling perspective, I don’t think he gets as much credit, but what he has done, Yuzvendra Chahal has changed the fortunes of whichever team he has played for.”
Notably, Agarwal captained PBKS in 2022, but later he was released by the franchise. Then, it was Sunrisers Hyderabad who roped in the Indian batter at a price of INR 8.25 crore. He is one of the few players to play over 100 IPL games.
After making his debut in 2011, Agarwal has played 113 games and scored 2327 runs at 22.29 and a strike rate of 134.28. He has also scored one century and 12 half-centuries. On the other hand, Chahal was the “Orange Cap” winner in the 2022 season with 27 wickets. He has taken 166 wickets in 131 IPL games and was retained by RR.
