Ex-RCB pacer Isuru Udana has shut down Virat Kohli’s critics with a blunt response as he believes the Indian batter is a legend.

IPL 2023: Virat Kohli is and will remain the best says Isuru Udana

Former Sri Lankan pacer Isuru Udana is a part of the Asia Lions side in the Legends League Cricket (LLC) 2023. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Udana was asked about the criticism faced by Virat Kohli in recent times.

No one can be perfect for long. He is a legend, we all know that. Everyone faces failure at some point in their career. But for me he is and will remain the best,” Isuru Udana told Hindustan Times.

“It was a huge opportunity I had and I enjoyed every bit of it. I knew Kohli before that was the first time I met him in person. He was really good to me when I went to the RCB dressing room for the first time,” he replied after being asked about sharing the dressing room with Virat Kohli.

The former Sri Lankan pacer was bought by RCB for INR 50 lakhs in the auction ahead of IPL 2020. RCB used him as a death specialist in 10 games in which he picked up 8 wickets.

Meanwhile, Virat has regained his lost form and is currently doing really well for the Indian team in all three formats. He scored a crucial 186 in the fourth test against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

RCB will now look to cash on Virat Kohli’s form in the IPL 2023 edition. The Bangalore-based franchise has done well in the last couple of seasons but are yet to grab its first IPL title. On the other hand, Virat Kohli too would be focusing to keep the momentum going during the Indian Premier League and contribute for his side RCB’s cause.
