The injury woes continue for India. After the injuries to Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav, India suffered another blow to their pace bowling department. The Indian bowling spearhead, Jasprit Bumrah has now been ruled out of the fourth Test due to an abdominal strain.

Bumrah has been India’s strike bowler in this series and has picked up 11 wickets in the three Tests that he has played so far. The Indian pacer had even played a crucial role in India’s famous victory at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), where he picked up 6 wickets and rattled the Australian batting line up.  The 1xbet minimum withdrawal in india on the other hand, is a little bit higher.

Jasprit Bumrah expected to be available for England Tests

A BCCI source confirmed Bumrah’s injury and stated that the abdominal strain that he suffered while fielding in the third Test is the reason why he would be unavailable for the Brisbane Test. However, the source added that the pacer would be fit in time for the subsequent series against England.

“Jasprit Bumrah suffered an abdominal strain while fielding in Sydney. He is going to sit out of the Brisbane Test but is expected to be available against England,” said the source.

The Indian side put on an incredible rearguard action in Sydney, where they played out 131 overs in the fourth innings and kept Australia at bay. Along with Bumrah, even Hanuma Vihari and Ravindra Jadeja are also ruled out of the fourth Test. Thangarasu Natarajan and Shardul Thakur will join the Indian side for the final Test. The series is currently in a stalemate at 1-1, and the fourth Test at The Gabba will assume paramount importance, as the winner of that Test will win the Border Gavaskar Trophy. It remains to be seen if injury-hit India can breach the invincible Australian fortress. The final Test of the series starts on January 15th 2021.
