CSK pacer Deepak Chahar has suffered a lot because of injuries. The pacer was out of action for the most part of 2022 including the IPL too. He made his comeback in international cricket earlier this year and eventually IPL too. While Deepak Chahar may not have played all the games for CSK, his opening spell has been a game-changer in the games he has been a part of. However, by the end of the CSK vs GT game, the player looked in a bit of discomfort after taking Shami’s catch.

The Chennai Super Kings needed 1 wicket to finish off the game. Mohammad Shami attempted to hit big but Deepak Chahar took the catch winning the game. Deepak Chahar had a good day at the field taking 2 wickets for 29 runs. He dismissed both the openers Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha. After completing the catch, the bowler was seen to be in a little discomfort because he appeared to have pulled a muscle. Chahar, though, insisted that everything was fine when asked about his conditioning following the game.

“Everything’s okay, one more to go. I think the length, we saw them bowling. It was sticking and we decided to bowl a full length. Didn’t experiment too much, let them (the batters) take the risks. Chasing 170 in a semi-final with the crowd against you is difficult. We have the belief, we have done it so many times (on reaching the finals). The benefit of having seniors in big contests matters a lot, we have been there previously and it does help,” Deepak Chahar said.

Deepak Chahar has overcome the difficulties and put on an amazing performance with the ball. He returned to action against Lucknow SuperGiants in CSK’s ninth match after suffering an injury in the match against Mumbai. In the subsequent five games, he took 12 wickets, signaling his triumphant return. His fitness will be crucial to help CSK lift another trophy. With a couple of days before the finals, it will give Deepak Chahar enough time to rest and come back better.
