IPL 2023: “They create an environment similar to the one of India-Pakistan” – Harbhajan Singh Ahead of The CSK vs MI game

Chennai Super Kings will take on Mumbai Indians in a much-awaited game in the IPL 2023 on April 8 at the Wankhede Stadium. Veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh, who has earlier been a part of both sides, reckons that the CSK vs MI game creates an environment similar to that of the India-Pakistan rivalry.

Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians have contested against each other in some of the most intense games in the history of IPL. The two teams faced each other in the finals of 2010, 2013, 2015, and 2019 editions of the Indian Premier League.

“When both these great teams compete against each other then they create an environment similar to the one of India-Pakistan,” Harbhajan Singh said on his YouTube channel ahead of the CSK vs MI game.

Harbhajan Singh believes that CSK vs MI game is a great opportunity for youngsters. According to the veteran spinner, performing in such a high-pressure game can help you become a great player.

“I have been part of many of their matches. If you want to become a great player then you have to perform in these kinds of matches,” Harbhajan Singh said about the opportunity presented by CSK vs MI games.

Harbhajan Singh was picked by CSK ahead of IPL 2018 prior to which he was a part of the Mumbai Indians’ side. The former off-spinner has played multiple high-intensity CSK vs MI matches and understands the buzz created by the rivalry between the two teams.

Meanwhile, both Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians had a terrible outing in the previous edition of the Indian Premier League. The two teams were placed in ninth and tenth position respectively on the IPL 2022 points table.

Both Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians started their campaign with a loss in the IPL 2023. However, CSK defeated LSG in their previous game to open their account. Mumbai Indians have just played one game till now in the IPL 2023 and are yet to open their account in the cash-rich league.
