Rohit Sharma, who will be leading Mumbai Indians to their sixth title, said that his team will try and take cues from other teams playing before them in the cash-rich league. However, before Mumbai play their first game, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), Delhi Capitals (DC), Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Punjab Kings (PBKS), Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Gujarat Titans (GT) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will play their first matches in the league as well.

“It’s interesting to see a new sort of an innovation coming into the game. Only time will tell how the team copes with the new rule. I like the idea of a player coming in and changing a game after the toss,” Rohit Sharma said in the press conference before the tournament. “We will be playing the last game and so, we will be able to see what other teams do and how much beneficial it is. We are hoping to get some ideas from the game that happens before us.”
