“The last IPL was the best IPL of my career till now. I got the chance to show what I can do. When I played against LSG. I’ve got the confidence that I can achieve something at this level. And I felt that can be the cricketer which I think I am,” Shivam Dube said on CSK TV.
IPL 2023: The position where I bat gives me enough time: Shivam Dube
“I started feeling that I can score runs at this stage. And the position where I bat gives me enough time. I have a lot of chances and that gave me a lot of self-confidence. And the innings 95 against RCB was a great confidence booster for me,” the all-rounder discussed the opportunities he gets while playing for CSK.
Shivam Dube was the second-highest run-scorer for CSK in IPL 2022 as he amassed 289 runs in 11 innings at a strike rate of 156.21. He also played a breathtaking knock of 95 runs against the Royal Challengers Bangalore to lead CSK to a 23-run victory.

Shivam Dube made his IPL debut with RCB and then played for the Rajasthan Royals as well. He came in with a reputation of being a big-hitter as he had done the same for his state team Mumbai in domestic cricket but couldn’t reciprocate the same success in IPL.
Chennai Super Kings brought him in the mega auction ahead of IPL 2022 for INR 4 crore. Playing under a skipper like MS Dhoni and getting a chance to bat mostly at the number 4 position helped him in performing consistently for the yellow army as he’s now an integral part of the side.
