PBKS has had a mixed bag of results this season, with a win in their last game against Mumbai Indians being their fourth win of the season. The team will be hoping for the return of their captain, Shikhar Dhawan, who has been out of action for a while. The stand-in captain, Sam Curran, and left-arm seamer, Arshdeep Singh, were instrumental in the team’s victory against Mumbai Indians.

Meanwhile, LSG lost to Gujarat Titans (GT) in Lucknow by seven runs after a promising victory over RR in Jaipur. LSG also lost to PBKS in a previous match, where their middle-order batters struggled against Gujarat Titans’ bowling attack. In the upcoming match, LSG will be looking for better performances from their middle-order, particularly from Deepak Hooda, who is yet to make a significant impact this season. LSG skipper KL Rahul, who is under scrutiny for his strike rate, will also be keen to score big against his former team.

3) Prabhsimran Singh vs Krunal Pandya

Prabhsimran Singh, the young PBKS opener, has had a good season so far, scoring 159 runs at a strike rate of 159.00 in seven games. He will be aiming to continue his good form in the upcoming match. Krunal Pandya, LSG’s left-arm spinner, has had an impressive start to the season, scoring 103 runs and taking six wickets in seven matches. He enjoys bowling to right-handed batters and will be relishing the challenge of facing Prabhsimran, who is not afraid to take on experienced IPL campaigners like Pandya.

2) Liam Livingstone vs Ravi Bishnoi

PBKS’s star spin bowling all-rounder, Liam Livingstone, is yet to find his form after returning from an injury. However, he has a track record of decimating bowlers with his aggressive batting style. His approach against spin bowlers has sometimes led to his downfall, and Ravi Bishnoi, LSG’s wily leg-spinner, will be looking to get him out. Bishnoi proved to be expensive in his last game, giving away 49 runs at an economy rate of 12.25.

1) KL Rahul vs Arshdeep Singh

KL Rahul has faced criticism for his slow batting performance and will be aiming to perform better in the upcoming match. Although he scored 68 runs off 61 balls in the previous game with eight boundaries, he couldn’t take his team to the victory line. Arshdeep Singh, who is leading the wicket charts for PBKS, will be targeting Rahul’s wicket. Arshdeep has been in good form this season, taking seven wickets from just four innings and a total of 13 scalps in seven games with an economy rate of 8.16. This contest in the powerplay overs will set the tone for the game, with both players striving to outperform each other.
