IPL 2023: There have been constant speculations that the IPL 2023 could be MS Dhoni’s last IPL season in the Indian Premier League. Former Indian all-rounder Kedar Jadhav, who has shared the CSK dressing room with MS Dhoni for a couple of seasons also believes the same as the CSK skipper is about to turn 42 in a couple of months.

While most of the cricket pundits and CSK fans too believed MS Dhoni will retire after IPL 2023, his recent form has made them think again. Dhoni played an incredible knock of 32 off just 17 balls against the Rajasthan Royals on April 12 and almost win the game for his side Chennai Super Kings.

The CSK skipper has shown some brilliant form with the bat while batting in the death overs in IPL 2023 against tough bowling lineups. He had smashed back-to-back sixes against English pacer Mark Wood in the CSK vs LSG game and a 7-ball 14 in the match against Gujarat Titans.

“CSK fans will definitely not be ready and neither were the Indian fans when he announced his international retirement. But it is the truth of every cricketer’s life and I feel this will be MS Dhoni’s last year in the IPL. He will be 42 years old in a few months’ time, ” Kedar Jadhav said in a media interaction.

“As much as I know Dhoni, if he knows that he is not going to play for too long, he makes another player ready in his place and that’s what must be happening,” Kedar Jadhav spoke about MS Dhoni’s last IPL season.

Meanwhile, the CSK skipper had earlier stated that he wanted to play his last IPL game in front of his home crowd at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai. IPL has reverted back to the home-and-away format which has finally allowed MS Dhoni to play in front of the Chepauk crowd after 4 years.
