A number of former cricketers have named a team to win the coming season. Meanwhile, Ponting, who is in charge of the Delhi Capitals, has not named DC and said that this time the Sanju Samson-led Rajasthan Royals have a better chance to end their trophy drought. “It’s a tough question. The finalist last year, Rajasthan Royals, I think have got a really, really good squad. And we said that last year, immediately after the auction, we were pretty impressed with what they were able to do and put a good squad together. I think Rajasthan will be there, thereabouts. Furthermore, Ponting also shed some light on the new “Impact Player” rule that will be introduced in the coming season. He said that it was a very nice decision, which will surely give the coaches a headache. It will also influence the games in many ways. RR will play their first game on Sunday against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. Meanwhile, DC will play their first game against Lucknow Super Giants on April 1.
