After facing defeat in 2 back-to-back games, the Royal Challengers Bangalore has finally managed to get another victory. Virat Kohli was given the player of the match for his 50 off 34. The man in form, however, wasn’t happy with his dismissal on the full toss. Batting first, Virat Kohli and Faf Du Plessis were up and out smashing bowlers across the ground. Faf, unfortunately, could bat long but Virat Kohli was determined to make up for the loss.

His half-century in the last game was criticized by the experts who pointed out that slowing down wasn’t very helpful for the team. Virat Kohli made sure he did not repeat the same in the RCB vs DC game. Speaking of his knock in the post-game presentation, he acknowledged that he was aiming to speed up more after his half-century. As he attempted to hit the full toss ball from Lalit Yadav for a 6, he was caught by Yash Dhull at the boundary.

I was quite disappointed that I got out to a full toss: Virat Kohli

RCB vs DC: Virat Kohli Expresses Disappointment After Getting Out to Full-Toss

“It was a tricky one. When it went up in the air, I made sure there was no one close to me. I made sure I grabbed it solidly. I was quite disappointed that I got out to a full toss. I’ve been playing really well. I wanted to make sure that after fifty, I was targetting 30-35 runs off the next 10 balls. That’s how I play. That would’ve helped us get past 200. When I’ve played my best cricket, those are the balls I’ve put away consistently (length balls on the up). That helps me to put pressure on the bowlers. When I put away their best balls, they’re going to try to do something else. I back myself to hit good balls and the best bowlers in the opposition,” Virat Kohli said.

RCB had given a target of 175 runs for DC to register their first victory this year. Apart from Virat Kohli, another player who had a great outing on the field was Vijaykumar Vyshak. The fast bowler after serving as the net bowler for RCB made his debut in the RCB vs DC game. Moreover, is figures of 4-30 (4) were the best by any RCB debutant. The next game for Bangalore will be against Chennai Super Kings at Chinnaswamy on April 17.
