“When I was batting with Virat, the gameplan was simple. His role was to bat deep and my job was to score a couple of boundaries in every over. When Kuldeep [Yadav] was bowling, it was turning a bit. It was important to put some pressure on him, so I took some risks and it paid off,” Mahipal Lomror said in the post-match press conference.
We were aiming for 165-170 runs because the wicket was spinning: Mahipal Lomror
“When we were batting, we were aiming for 165-170 because the wicket was spinning and it was slow as well. We felt it was a good score. If our bowling was a bit tighter, this would have been a very good score,” the RCB batter discussed about the pitch at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

It’s worth noting that Virat Kohli faced criticism from cricket pundits over his slow knock in the RCB vs DC clash. He struck just at the rate of 119.57 and hut just 5 fours while Mahipal Lomror was smashing boundaries from the other end.
Skipper Faf du Plessis smashed 45 runs off 32 deliveries and made 82 runs opening a partnership along with Virat Kohli. Despite getting a good start at the top and Lomror’s heroic innings in the middle order, Royal Challengers Bangalore could only post a total of 181-4 in their 20 overs.
The total posted by the RCB side eventually proved to be less courtesy of the brilliant knock of 87 runs by Phil Salt. David Warner, Mitchell Marsh, and Rossouw too got some quick runs as Delhi Capitals chased down the target in just 16.4 overs in the RCB vs DC clash.
