IPL 2023: The 16th edition of the Indian Premier League has already provided some thrilling games of cricket. Rajasthan Royals have started well, winning two of the three games they have played. They won against Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals while suffering a loss against the Punjab Kings. RR has a strong top order, too, with some in-form batters. The “Orange Cap” of 2022, Jos Buttler, has been in great form this season as well.

Buttler has scored runs in the power play with the highest strike rate this season. Jaiswal has also followed in his footsteps. Both RR openers have given their team solid starts more often than not. In an interview with PTI, the left-hander has opened up on the confidence he brought from the domestic performances. He said,

One hundred per cent! It gives me amazing (amount of) confidence of playing in different conditions and situations. I have been in different situations so many times and I have drawn confidence from it to go out there and express myself.”

The left-hander was in good form last season as well. He scored 258 runs in 10 innings. However, with three innings this season, he has almost reached half of the runs he scored last season. Jaiswal was among the highest run-getters in India’s domestic T20 tournament, the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He scored 266 runs in 10 innings at an average and strike rate of 33.25 and 141.48.

Furthermore, Jaiswal also talked about the environment that the RR franchise provided for its players. He said that the management has cleared the roles for everyone and the support they are getting is just enormous. RR will face CSK in their next game on Wednesday at the Chepauk Stadium.
