Not Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma; Kagiso Rabada names his favorite player in the Indian Team
Team India has been superb in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 so far. They have won all the games and are the only undefeated team in the tournament. India also became the first team to qualify for the semi-finals and is at the top of the points table. One of the prime reasons behind this is the presence of Indian players. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are in top form.
That is the reason that the Indian batting has been very strong in this tournament. On the other hand, Jaspirt Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, and Mohammed Siraj are also doing well. India thrashed South Africa in their last game at the Eden Gardens by a massive margin of 243 runs. Virat Kohli smashed his 49th ODI ton on his 35th birthday and made 101 not out. He also won the Man of the Match award. Ravindra Jadeja also picked up a five-wicket haul to lead India to win.
Kagiso Rabada reveals Ravindra Jadeja as his favorite Indian Player
South Africa are back in action as they are playing their last group match against Afghanistan at the Narendra Modi Stadium. It is the 100th ODI match for Kagiso Rabada, who was honored before the start of the game. He also spoke about his journey so far. However, he also made a surprising revelation. When asked about his favorite player in the Indian cricket team, he didn’t pick Virat or Rohit.
In fact, the pacer named all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja as his favorite cricketer in the Indian team. He said, “Ravindra Jadeja is my favorite current cricketer.” The all-rounder picked up 5/33 against South Africa at Eden Gardens and registered the second-best bowling figure by a left-arm spinner in a World Cup match. He also scored an unbeaten 29 runs off 15 balls with the bat.
Rabada didn’t play that game, but the way Jadeja performed was brilliant. Star all-rounder will be back in action on Sunday. India will play their last group match on November 12 against Netherlands. That game will take place at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. It is the last group match, and the semi-final will start on November 15. India is likely to face New Zealand in the first semi-final, while Australia and South Africa will face each other in the second semi-final on November 16.
