KL Rahul Lauds Mayank Yadav’s Fiery Bowling
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) skipper KL Rahul was effusive in his praise for young speedster Mayank Yadav, following a spectacular bowling display against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Making a mark as a promising talent, Yadav’s prowess has been the talk of the tournament, especially after his recent performance where he consistently delivered thunderbolts, one of which clocked a staggering 156.7 kph.

He’s quietly patiently waited for two seasons in the dugout, and missed out last year because of injury, unfortunately. But he’s been in Bombay with the physios working really hard. He understands that bowling 155 is not easy and in a young age, he’s had a few injuries. He’s really professional in looking after his body, it’s really good to see and has a great temperament. Enjoying seeing bowl from probably 20 yards behind the stumps, that’s where I’d like to be when he’s bowling.
Alongside Mayank Yadav’s exceptional bowling, LSG’s batting unit, led by Quinton de Kock’s top-order brilliance and Nicholas Pooran’s middle-order exploits, contributed significantly to the team’s winning cause.
