They are coming off a big win over the Lucknow Super Giants in the Eliminator. Thus, the coming game will be another blockbuster game between the two powerhouses. It will be a great game between MI’s batting and GT’s bowling, which will be led by Rashid Khan and Mohammed Shami. These two GT bowlers are the top two wicket-takers in the competition.

Rashid is the “X” factor in the GT lineup and probably one of the biggest names in the competition. He has been a phenomenal addition to Gujarat and was one of the prime reasons they won their maiden title in their debut season. So far, he has picked up 25 wickets in 15 innings at an average and economy rate of 19 and 7.92, respectively.

He has scored runs whenever he has had a chance. That’s what former Indian off-spinner and MI star Harbhajan Singh also feels. In an interview on Star Sports, Bhaaji praised the leg-spinner and said that GT is lucky to have him on his team. Harbhajan said,

“Rashid Khan is a player from a different league. He’s picking up wickets in heaps, he’s scoring runs, he’s a gun fielder, and he led GT whenever captain Hardik wasn’t available. He’s done everything and excelled. GT are exceptionally lucky to have a player like Rashid in their ranks.”

On the other hand, veteran Indian pacer Mohammed Shami is currently the “Purple Cap” holder. Shami has picked up 26 wickets in 15 innings at a brilliant economy rate of 7.66. Bhajji also lauded the effort of the Indian pacer. He said that Shami is just unplayable when there is a swing. He bowls well in the powerplay and also has a good performance in the death overs. GT and MI will play the knockout game to qualify for the IPL finals on May 28, where CSK is waiting for them.
