The first test between South Africa and India is coming close to the end of South Africa’s innings. The hosts have taken their first-inning lead over the 160-run mark. Team India were put to the test after losing the toss. The visitors were bundled out for 245 runs in the first inning, despite a superb ton from KL Rahul. He made 101 runs with 14 fours and four sixes.

In reply, South Africa had some brilliant batting performances. They made 408 runs after a career-best score from veteran opener Dean Elgar. He made 185 runs, including 28 fours. As a result, South Africa ended their first inning at 408 runs with a massive first-inning lead of 162 runs.

Watch: Jaspirt Bumrah bowls a ripper to castle Kagiso Rabada

For India, ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah took 4/49 and ended the innings with two brilliant wickets. He bowled two incredible balls to dismiss Kagiso Rabada and Nandre Burger to close out the innings. Among the four wickets by Bumrah, three were bowled dismissals. However, the wicket of Rabada was certainly worth watching. It was the fifth ball of the 101st over.

Jaspirt Bumrah bowled a full ball, which moved away slightly and hit the off stumps. The stump went for a cartwheel, and even Rabada had a smile on his face. However, Marco Jansen was unlucky, as he missed a well-deserved ton. The all-rounder remained unbeaten on 84 runs, with 11 fours and one six.

Team India has a huge task on their hands now. They will have to make sure that they can overcome this huge lead and then add some runs to post a target. Though it looks like a pretty difficult task for the visitors, nothing can be said as of now. The Indian teams will have to bat out of their skins, and someone from the top order will need to play a big innings like Dean Elgar did for South Africa.
